True worship is a deeply spiritual experience which needs the active participation of both
the mind and the emotions.
Through music, scripture, and an inviting, warm atmosphere, we hope to help worshippers feel the presence of the
Holy Spirit very close to them. Our approach to worship is eclectic, and we are always in search of new and innovative
ways to worship and give praise to the Lord.
Prayer
Power (Article 12 ) Purpose of Prayer 1 Thessalonians 5:15-16
“ ... Be joyful
always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. “ God commands us to do impossible things by human standards. However, His Holy Spirit works in us
to give us the will and strength to obey God’s commands. One of these commands is to pray perpetually, constantly
with out ceasing. We can pray as we are getting dressed for our day. We can pray as we travel. We can pray as we wait in lines. With enough practice, prayer can come as supernaturally as breathing comes naturally. So keep breathing
those prayers throughout the day. And as we pray perpetually, “impossible” things become possible.
Prayer Power (Article 13 ) Commitment to Prayer Psalm 5: 2-3 “Listen to my cry for help, my King and
my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I will raise my voice to you and eagerly
watch. “ Every person has a different schedule. Set aside a
time when you can meet with God on a regular basis. Three things will help you get together with God: 1. Set a specific time to pray. 2. Commit to that
appointment. 3. Avoid interruptions. Consistent prayer will not happen unless
we set an appointed time and work hard to honor that commitment to God. Commit yourself to your time with God. You won’t
regret it.

Hymn
Backgrounds Give Thanks by Henry Smith Jr. In
Uzbekistan, a country just north of the war torn country of Afghanistan, a group of Uzbekies gather together to sing a Christian
song they recently learned. This is an unusual sight for country that is a mixture of Soviet atheism Islam and the orient.
The group is singing Henry Smith’s “Give Thanks” which traveled from America to this place. Of the nearly 300 songs he’s written, only
one has been published. While Henry was a sophomore at King College in Bristol, Tennessee, the Lord seemed
to increase His blessing as He poured out the Spirit upon Henry “Music has not been the same for me since that time”,
“I only want to write songs for Christ.” Henry started putting psalms to music, which revitalized his song writing. For five or six years “Give Thanks”
has been at the top ten of Christian Copyright Licensing International top 25 list of songs used by the United States.
Many people love this song because the “weak” can sing “I am strong” and the poor can say “I
am rich,” for the all encompassing reason : “because of what the Lord has done for me.” Give Thanks Give
thanks with a grateful heart, Give
thanks to the Holy One, Give
thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son And
now let the weak say “I am strong” Let the poor say “I am rich because of what The Lord has done for us” Give
thanks, with a grateful heart, Give
thanks to the Holy One, Give
thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son Give
thanks, give thanks
